So last week I re-entered into the missions field up here in mamelodi pretoria. After a 23 hour bus-trip (which was supposed to be 19 hours but okay,TIA-this is Africa) I arrived in sunnyside Pretoria and was picked up by my teammate Mpumi Maweni. about 20minutes from here we drove to the ministries house in the township of Mamelodi.
Safe to say it felt SUPER weird being back. After just dealing with re-entering back home and falling into a pattern(if I can call it tha)over there I ha to disrupt that for the inevitable, re-joining OM South Africa.
After settling in at the ministry centre and fixing up our office(yes we actually have a office) I was intorduce to township life. Thursdays we do ministry at one of the universities and Fridays we have sports discipleship with a group of young Kids here in the community. We will have a full team brief at the end of this week hopefully but safe to say, I am TOTALLY excited for where this ministry is heading and just for God allowing me to be part of this.
A lot of people judge me for not going abroad or overseas, but what difference does it make? This is where God has placed me and this is where I shall stay for now.Things are crazy here so I dont get to do stuff on this blog loke I used to anymore.
My other two teammates are just as crazy as I am(if not more) so it makes living here super crazy. We have beeforunate to experience Gods favor upon Younghope SA and grateful for this time of rest and reflection because we have so much to do and task to initiate ahead of us so we are thankful for these few days of just spending time in Gods presence as a team and also as individuals...
Thanks for everyone who has been praying for me on this journey, please keep up the good work. I am truly excited for what lies ahead
All for His glory and in His grip
