Operation Mobilization (OM) is a non-profit organization that sees itself as part of the Church and is focused on strengthening the Church, mobilizing people from all walks of life into world missions. They offer on-the-job short term and long term training and go by land and sea (OM ships), distributing good literature and helping with community development as well as aid and relief where needed. OM is also committed to planting churches, focusing especially on the least evangelized parts of the world.
In support of this endeavor, the Light and Life Church and Divine Footprints Foundation is supporting Mark- Shaun Fowler to travel to Mamelodi Pretoria and work as a missionary in that area.Mark-Shaun is a 19 year old teenage boy who has committed his life completely to Christ in July of 2009 (my matrix year), He received Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 2005 but it wasn’t until 2009 that he completely started living the life of a committed Christian and has since received his calling for missions, confirmed scripture – Acts 13:47-“For the Lord gave us this command when he said, 'I have made you a light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.'”,
It was only after engaging with OM and their training (from February till July of 2010) that he realized that God had a specific plan for him in the field of youth and it came in the form of a youth ministry that OM is initiating, called” Young Hope”.
“Young hope” will be focusing on the following areas:
1- Discipling youth
2- Training youth leaders to do youth ministry more effectively
3- Exposing youth to missions
Mathew 28:19 calls Believers to “Go {therefore} and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit”
Thus the call for your support to enable Mark-Shaun, OM, Light and Life Church and Divine Footprints Foundation to fulfill the commandment of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
